Does a chargeback affect my credit?

I had a supplier who i thought was good, turned out to be a scam, now i have a chargeback headed my way. I have a first data merchant account, will it show up on my credit report, and if it does will it affect it badly or just not so much

    Yes, it will show up in your credit report and will affect your score. if it is only one it wont hurt that much but it will be there and may cause problems in the future. was the account under a sole prop?

    A charge back (not to be confused with a charge off) is when someone disputes a charge that you submitted and the charge is reversed. This does not get reported to the credit bureaus at all and by itself will have zero impact on your credit rating.However, if someone does a charge back which causes your bank account to go negative and this remains negative for a long time, then your bank might report your account to collections and then your credit would be affected.
