Credit Card Dispute on eBay/Paypal. What should I do???
I have a problem here. Anyone who knows how to fix this, please let me know.
I sold an item to a buyer on eBay. Buyer paid (but did not opt for insurance). I packed nicely and shipped as usual. Unfortunately, there was something bad happened during the delivery. The package arrived to buyer damaged and out of shape. Was unable to file claim with post office (since no insurance was bought). I offered to share a portion of loss with the buyer but the buyer wanted more. I refused and now the buyer went to file chargeback with credit card. Is that reasonable? Will Paypal send me the chargeback? Can I fight back? What can I do to protect myself? At the beginning I set the insurance as optional. However, the buyer did not take the option and now the buyer do not want to take the loss. What shall I do?
The buyer filed chargeback/dispute with his credit card company (not Paypal). Will Paypal frozen my money due to this when they receive the chargeback notice from the credit card company? Can I fight back successfully? The buyer returned the damaged item to me without giving me notice. The buyer bought insurance on the returned package (damaged goods). Did this violate any postal regulations?

Question about Paypal chargeback?
I recenltly sold an item on ebay for 500.00USD, and the buyer filed a claim, saying he never received the item. I fought the claim, and I won in the end.
About 2 weeks later, the buyer does a chargeback on the item, and he wins.
Under Paypal’s Chargeback FAQ, it states that:
How does PayPal help sellers fight unwarranted chargeback?
2. If you resolve a dispute through the Resolution Center, Paypal will protect you 100% against any future claim, chargeback, or bank reversal the buyer may file for that transaction.
If a seller amicably resolves a PayPal dispute or wins a claim, is the seller covered against chargebacks?
Yes, if you amicably resolve a dispute through the Resolution Center, Paypal will protect you 100% against any future claim, chargeback or bank reversal the buyer may file for that transaction.
So shouldn’t I be covered at this point? I won a claim prior to the chargeback. Paypal won’t do anything about it.
Does it also matter that it was a virtual good? Thanks you.

Paypal collection call follow-up to the truth about Paypal
Check this out, listen to this guy. He works for Paypal and admits I am right. The number I gave was an old outdated phone number. One I had to cancle because they called me 5 times a day for weeks. I complained about them calling me numerous times. He asked again what the situation was and I explained it to him. Customer bought a Mcintosh MC2500 amplifier from me. He painted it and then after he painted it he wanted to return it. Paypal helped perpetuate fraud. Paypal is only a transaction company, they are a middle guy. There seems to be a huge problem with these chargebacks “quote from the man” When you accept a credit card payment from paypal, you agree to accept chargebacks. “quote from the man” There is seller protection listen to that, I followed everything. Paypal has my amplifier, but they dont get in the middle of item disputes. Sounds like my dispute is straight forward, “quote” 6:08 listen to his rebuttal- What info would I need? The credit card info so I could fight my own chargeback. “quote” You’ve got a point there, It’s a business risk I chose to take when accepting paypal. What about people that are not a business. Would they send me a written letter so I can verify the debt? NOPE! This customer stole my item and paypal still gave him the money even when he admitted he got it. They let him do a chargeback when he still had it. Dont use Paypal it will rob you even if you only use it once. DONT USE PAYPAL. Paypal is a scam company, do not do business with …
